On 23 February 2017 the Presidium of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry supported the ICAC’s Presidium initiative to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the activities of the ICAC at the Ukrainian CCI and to announce the year 2017 in this connection – the year of international commercial arbitration in Ukraine, within the framework of which it is planned, in particular, to hold the following activities:
– in March 2017 the ICAC at the Ukrainian CCI jointly with Vasil Kisil and Partners law firm will hold in the premises of the Ukrainian CCI the international conference on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the activities of the ICAC at the UCCI “International Arbitration: Emerging Changes” (on 17 March 2017) and II Annual Ukrainian Vis Pre-Moot (on 18 March 2017);
– on 5 April 2017 it is planned to hold the scientific-practical round table: “Arbitrability of disputes: Moving in what direction?” in the premises of the Kyiv Regional Center of the Ukrainian National Academy of Law Sciences (3, Pylyp Orlyk str., Kyiv);
– on 14-15 September 2017 the ICAC at the Ukrainian CCI will hold series of events dedicated to celebration of the 25th anniversary of its activities, such as the IV International Arbitration Readings in memory of Academician Igor Pobirchenko “International commercial arbitration: modern challenges”, the signing of the Cooperation Agreement between the ICAC at the Ukrainian CCI and the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC) as well as other pleasant events;
– a number of regional, municipal conferences and round tables for business and legal community concerning the peculiarities of doing foreign trade and opportunities of international commercial arbitration in resolution of disputes with foreign business partners.
In addition, with a view to promotion of international commercial arbitration, improvement of its legal regulation and organization of the activities of the ICAC at the Ukrainian CCI it is planned to publish the collection of scientific papers dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the activities of the ICAC at the UCCI and the development of international commercial arbitration in Ukraine. In this connection, the ICAC at the UCCI addresses the participants of the conferences and round table with a proposal to prepare articles on the specified subject matter, which will be included in the above collection of scientific papers.
