On 27 July 2023, Inna Yemelianova, Vice President of the ICAC and UMAC, spoke at the VII-th International Forum “Mediation and Law” – Ukraine’s top-level specialized international mediation event.

The Forum was organized by the Ukrainian Academy of Mediation, part of the EU CONSENT Project supported by USAID Justice for All Project and the EU Pravo-Justice Project .
Ms. Yemelianova joined the panel of experts from Singapore, the Netherlands, Turkey and Georgia during session “Singapore Convention: ratification perspectives” to discuss the challenges and practical considerations of the ratification of the Singapore Convention.

Inna Yemelianova shared her experience presenting on the topic “International Commercial Mediation and Arbitration “Under One Roof”. Experience of Ukraine”. In her presentation, Ms. Yemelianova offered a comparative analysis of applying mediation and arbitration to resolving international commercial disputes. She also informed the Forum’s delegates about the expansion of the ICAC and the UMAC service line with mediation and combined procedures “Mediation-Arbitration”, “Arbitration-Mediation-Arbitration”.
In her speech, Ms. Yemelianova emphasized the benefits of combined procedures for businesses.
