Dear users of the ICAC and the UMAC services and other interested parties!
The ICAC and the UMAC at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine during the martial law resumes accepting claims and other procedural documents relating to the competences of the arbitration institutions.
The ICAC and the UMAC process all incoming mail online and, when possible, in hard copy. The secretariat ensures correspondence with the arbitral tribunals in specific cases, parties to arbitral proceedings and other users of arbitration services via e-mail, and, if possible, via postal services.
Taking into account the current situation, all documents and other materials should be submitted electronically to the e-mail addresses of the ICAC [email protected] and the UMAC [email protected].
The principle procedural documents (statements of claim, statement of defense, etc.) should also be delivered in hard copy by all types of postal services or delivered in person to the reception of the UCCI: Ukraine, 01601, Kyiv, 33, Velyka Zhytomyrska Street.
Decisions relating to requests and petitions, in particular on procedural terms, the extension of arbitration fees payment deadlines, the prolongation of the terms for filing statements of defense and additional documents, etc., will be made individually, taking into account the specific circumstances of each particular case.
The payment of registration and arbitration fees shall be made without invoicing, using the banking details available on the websites of the ICAC and the UMAC.
The ICAC and the UMAC are taking every effort to renew the administrating of current proceedings and opening new ones, including to resume the proceedings in cases that have been suspended due to the martial law.
For the purpose of securing smooth arbitration process, the President of the ICAC and the UMAC addressed all the ICAC and the UMAC arbitrators and, more importantly, the arbitral tribunals in specific cases, requesting to organize communication with the representatives of the parties and to take other measures to proceed with and complete the consideration of cases promptly.
Until the military aggression against Ukraine, threatening the lives and safety of the participants of arbitration process and the arbitrators is stopped, oral hearings will be conducted using video-conferencing systems.
We hereby inform, that the time of the martial law regime in Ukraine will not be taken into account when defining the time limits of the arbitral proceedings as outlined in Article 38 of the Rules of the ICAC and the UMAC.
