On 17 February, Vasyl Kisil & Partners law firm with the support of the International Commercial Arbitration Court at the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (the ICAC) will hold the III Ukrainian Vis Pre-Moot at the UCCI.
Ukrainian Vis Pre-Moot is the practical part of the most reputable competition in international arbitration – Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot. The competition helps participating students gain practical skills in arbitration as well as learn from the legal practitioners in the field of arbitration.
Mykola Selivon, the President of the ICAC, and Oleg Alyoshin, partner and the Head of International Arbitration at Vasyl Kisil & Partners, will open the Pre-Moot. The jury of the Pre-Moot include the ICAC arbitrators, lawyers and scientists specialised in arbitration.
The participating teams include students of the leading Ukrainian universities:
- The Institute of International Relations at the Kyiv National T. Shevchenko University
- Kyiv National T. Shevchenko University
- Lviv National I. Franko University
- National University “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy”
- National University “Odesa Law Academy”
The participants of the III Ukrainian Vis Pre-Moot will have an opportunity to win the Academician I. Pobirchenko Award traditionally provided by the ICAC. The TOP-3 finalists will be honoured with the Award.
