The ICAC receives honorable guests of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC)

On June 3, 2022 the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the International Commercial Arbitration Court at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine (the ICAC) had the great pleasure to welcome the Secretary General of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) John Denton and the Head of Global Engagement at International Chamber of Commerce Damien Bruckard to Ukraine.

During the meeting, Mr. Denton, on behalf of the ICC and the business community of the democratic world, expressed his full support for Ukraine and its people in their heroic resistance to the Russian invasion.

The President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine Gennadiy Chyzhykov and the President of the ICAC Mykola Selivon discussed the strengthening of cooperation with the ICC, including immediate actions for the implementation of the 5 steps for the urgent renewal of Ukrainian business, which were developed by the ICC with the direct participation of Mr. Denton.

The Secretary General of the ICC noted that the ICAC has implicitly granted the institution’s ability to administer the uninterrupted arbitral proceedings under martial law. In particular, Mr. Denton said that the ICAC, working with all staff from its office in Kyiv, as well as all Ukrainian people, demonstrates the courage, dedication, and professionalism that plagues the entire civilized world today.
