On September 22, 2025, ICAC Vice-Presidents Volodymyr Nahnybida and Yurii Prytyka took part in the Presentation of the Report “State Incentives for the Use of Mediation Between Parties to a Conflict”. The event was organized by the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine with the support of the EU-funded Project Pravo-Justice.

The participants of the meeting discussed a range of important issues related to the functioning and development of mediation in Ukraine, in particular:
- reflection of the current state of mediation in judicial practice;
- foreign experience, namely the state of mediation in countries where mediation is neither mandatory nor supported by the state, as well as the opposite experience of other countries and the respective outcomes;
- a review and analysis of available data on mediation, as well as academic perspectives on the further development of mediation in Ukraine and the conditions for introducing informational and evaluative meetings with mediators.
In addition, the event featured a presentation and discussion of the results of a study on state incentives for the use of mediation between parties to a conflict. More details on the study’s findings are available at this link: Report PDF.

ICAC supports and welcomes the attention given by the state, in particular through the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, to the application of alternative dispute resolution methods in Ukraine, including mediation. We are convinced that the development of alternative dispute resolution will contribute to strengthening business trust in all forms of ADR, as well as to the further democratization and establishment of civil society in Ukraine.
