On March 6, 2025, the Extraordinary General Assembly of the International Federation of Commercial Arbitration Institutions (IFCAI) was held.

The meeting gathered representatives of the world’s leading arbitration centers. The International Commercial Arbitration Court at the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICAC), a long-standing member of IFCAI, was represented by Volodymyr Nahnybida, Deputy President of the ICAC.

During the session, five new members were elected to the IFCAI Council, and several current issues related to IFCAI’s activities were discussed, including IFCAI’s participation in the Vis Moot (Vienna 2025).

Special attention was also given to the further development of arbitration as an effective dispute resolution mechanism, IFCAI’s involvement in regional and global arbitration forums, and the promotion of arbitration events – particularly the International Arbitration Readings in Memory of Academician I.
